Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is the standard referenced for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the United States, the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and EN 301 549 in the European Union, and similar rules in the UK, Canada, Australia and India.

We describe this site as partially conformant: most of it meets WCAG 2.2 AA, and the known gaps are listed below with what we are doing about them.

What we have built in

• A “Skip to main content” link as the first item on every page.
• Full keyboard access, with a visible focus outline on links, buttons and form fields.
• A Language & accessibility panel (globe button at the top of every page) to pause animations, enlarge text, increase contrast, underline links and translate the site into over 130 languages.
• Animations stop automatically if your device is set to reduce motion, and can be paused at any time.
• Form fields with visible labels, clear error messages and no time limits.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
• Headings and landmarks in a logical order, and layouts that reflow on small screens and at 400% zoom.

Known limitations

• Automatic translation is provided by Google Translate and may not be perfect. The English version is authoritative.
• Older images in our media library are still being reviewed for alt text.
• The printable brochure is designed for print. For an accessible version of any document, contact us and we will send one.
• Third-party content such as embedded maps, chat and payment pages is controlled by those providers. We choose providers that publish their own accessibility commitments.

Enforcement

If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the accessibility or equality body in your country — for example, the U.S. Department of Justice ADA information line, the Equality Advisory and Support Service in the UK, or the national market-surveillance authority for the European Accessibility Act in EU member states.

How we test

We check this site with automated tools and manual testing using a keyboard, screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack), browser zoom and high-contrast settings. We re-test after every major change.
